Continuing Education Unit Requirements
To maintain the Certified in Reimbursement and Market Access (CRMA™) credential, professionals must demonstrate an ongoing commitment to learning and professional development. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) ensure that credentialed members remain current with evolving healthcare policies, reimbursement methodologies, and market access strategies.
1. CEU Requirement
- CRMA™ certificants are required to earn 30 CEUs every 24 months to maintain active certification status.
2. Eligible Activities
CEUs may be earned through:
- Completion of RAMPSociety™ webinars, workshops, or eLearning modules.
- Participation in approved external conferences, seminars, or training programs related to reimbursement, market access, health economics, or compliance.
- Authoring articles, case studies, or white papers in the field of Reimbursement and Market Access (RMA).
- Presenting at industry meetings or educational events.
3. Submission & Tracking
- Members must log CEUs through the RAMPSociety™ online portal.
- Documentation (e.g., certificates of completion, agendas, proof of authorship) must be submitted for verification.
- CEUs are reviewed and approved by the RAMPSociety™.
- Notice of approval or denial of documentation will be communicated via email.
4. Carryover Policy
- A maximum of 5 CEUs earned in the final six months of a reporting cycle may be carried over into the next cycle.
5. Non-Compliance
- Failure to meet CEU requirements will result in credential suspension.
- If CEUs are not submitted within a six-month grace period, certification will be revoked, and re-examination will be required to reinstate CRMA™ status.
6. Membership Requirement
- Active RAMPSociety™ membership is required to earn, submit, and apply CEUs toward certification maintenance.

1. What counts as an eligible CEU activity?
CEUs must be related to reimbursement, market access, health economics, coding, compliance, or other healthcare business topics. Eligible activities include:
- Completing RAMPSociety™ eLearning courses, webinars, or workshops.
- Attending approved external industry conferences or training sessions.
- Publishing or presenting professional content on RMA-related topics.
- Participating in formal university or professional development courses tied to healthcare economics, reimbursement, or policy.
2. How do I submit CEUs?
CEUs should be logged through the RAMPSociety™ online member portal. You will need to upload supporting documentation, such as:
- Certificate of completion
- Event agenda and proof of attendance
- Copy of article, presentation, or publication
3. How many CEUs do I need?
- CRMA™ certificants must complete 20 CEUs every two years.
- At least 10 CEUs must come from RAMPSociety™ programs to ensure alignment with industry standards.
4. Can I carry over extra CEUs to the next cycle?
Yes. You may carry over up to 5 CEUs earned in the final six months of your current reporting cycle.
5. What happens if I don’t meet the CEU requirements?
- If requirements are not met by the renewal deadline, your certification status will be placed on suspension.
- A six-month grace period is available to submit CEUs.
- Failure to comply after the grace period will result in revocation of your certification, and you will need to reapply and retake the exam.
