Maintaining your credential demonstrates an ongoing commitment to professional growth and excellence in reimbursement and market access. To maintain your credential, you must earn 30 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) during each 2-year maintenance cycle. An active RAMPSociety® membership is required for CEU maintenance.

CEUs may be earned through a variety of educational activities, including courses, conferences, webinars, workshops, and other qualifying learning experiences. One hour of qualifying education equals one CEU. Learning activities completed through RAMPSociety or other organizations are acceptable, provided they are relevant to the profession and meet established CEU requirements.

There, you can track completed coursework, view transcripts, upload CEU documentation from external providers, monitor your progress toward renewal requirements, and access other helpful credential management tools.

• What counts as an eligible CEU activity?

CEUs must be related to reimbursement, market access, health economics, coding, compliance, health policy or other healthcare business topics. Eligible activities include:

 

• Completing RAMPSociety eLearning courses, webinars, or workshops.
• Attending approved external industry conferences or training sessions.
• Publishing or presenting professional content on RMA-related topics.
• Participating in formal university or professional development courses tied to healthcare economics, reimbursement, or policy.

• How do I submit external (non-RAMPSociety sourced) CEUs and how are they tracked?

CEUs should be logged through the RAMPSociety Learner Dashboard. You will need to upload supporting documentation through the External Training button. 

Acceptable sources of external CEUs include:

 

• Certificate of completion
• Event agenda and proof of attendance
• Copy of article, presentation, or publication

 

CEUs are reviewed and approved by the RAMPSociety. Approved external CEUs will be tracked and can be viewed in your Learner Transcript.

• How many CEUs do I need?

1. • CRMA certificants must complete 15 CEUs every two years.
   • At least 20 CEUs must come from RAMPSociety programs to ensure alignment with industry standards.

• Can I carry over extra CEUs to the next cycle?

Yes. You may carry over up to 5 CEUs earned in the final six months of your current reporting cycle.

• What happens if I don’t meet the CEU requirements?

1. • If requirements are not met by the renewal deadline, your certification status will be placed on suspension.
   • A six-month grace period is available to submit CEUs.
   • Failure to comply after the grace period will result in revocation of your certification, and you will need to reapply and retake the exam.

• Do I need to maintain RAMPSociety® membership?

Yes. Active membership is required for CEU submission, tracking, and credential maintenance
